Privacy Policy

Cold Blood is a single-player action game for Android. It has no accounts and no way for us to learn who you are. What it does do is show advertising and report crashes, and this explains exactly what that involves.

Last updated 19 August 2026 Applies to Cold Blood for Android Published by Indev Games

The short version

  • We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or location.
  • There are no accounts and no sign-in, so nothing you do is tied to an identity we hold.
  • The game shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device's advertising ID.
  • It reports crashes and gameplay events through Google Firebase, so we can fix what breaks and see which chapters players get stuck on.
  • Your saved progress and settings stay on your device and are never uploaded.
  • There are no in-app purchases, so we never see payment details.
  • In the UK and EEA you are asked before any personalised ad is shown, and you can change that answer at any time.

Who we are

Cold Blood is developed and published by Indev Games. We decide what the game collects and why, and we are responsible for the choices described here.

You can reach us at adilpwr11@gmail.com about anything on this page.

What we collect

The clearest way to think about this game is to split it in two: a small amount of information leaves your device, and rather more never does. Nothing in the second group is ever uploaded, and uninstalling the game deletes all of it.

LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

  • Advertising ID — a resettable number Android provides for advertising
  • Approximate location — country or city level, worked out from your IP address, never GPS
  • App activity — which menu buttons you press, which chapters you start and finish, where you die, and whether you watch an ad
  • Crash reports and diagnostics — stack traces, device model, operating system version and memory state at the moment of a crash

STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

  • Progress — chapter, checkpoint, time played and enemies cleared, so Continue returns you where you stopped
  • Settings — music, effects, vibration, quality, frame rate and look sensitivity
  • Diagnostic notes — local records of when a revive was offered and what ads returned, used only during development

The same information, as declared on our Google Play data safety listing.

“Shared” has a specific meaning here. Crash and diagnostic data goes to Google purely as a service acting on our behalf. Advertising data is different: Google uses it for its own advertising network, which counts as sharing with a third party.

Advertising

The game is free and paid for by advertising, served by Google AdMob. Cold Blood shows three kinds, and no others:

  • An interstitial full-screen ad, occasionally, after you die and before the checkpoint reloads.
  • rewarded ad you can choose to watch to revive where you fell. This one is never forced — nothing happens unless you tap it.
  • An app open ad when you return to the game after having left it for a while.

What Google receives

To choose and measure ads, Google collects information from your device. This typically includes your advertising ID, your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, general device information such as model and operating system version, and whether you saw, tapped or closed an ad. We never receive this in a form that identifies you.

For advertising, Google acts as an independent controller of that data rather than as our supplier. What it collects and why is set out in the Google Privacy Policy, and the companies that may serve ads through AdMob are listed here.

Analytics

Cold Blood uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is actually played. This is how we learn that a particular chapter is losing players, or that a menu button nobody presses is in the wrong place.

What we record is limited to what you do inside the game: which menu buttons you press, which screens you open and how long you stay on them, which chapter you start and whether you finish it, which checkpoints you reach, where you die, and whether you accept a revive. Each of these arrives attached to a randomly generated installation identifier — not to you.

We never record anything you type, and there is nothing in the game to type into. There is no chat, no profile, and no user-generated content of any kind.

Analytics collection follows the consent choice described under Your choices below. If you decline, it is switched off.

Crash reporting

The game uses Google Firebase Crashlytics so that a crash tells us something useful instead of disappearing. When the game stops working, it sends a stack trace along with the device model, operating system version, available memory and storage, and which chapter and checkpoint you were on at the time.

We want to be straightforward about one thing: unlike analytics, crash reporting is not switched off by declining consent. It starts with the game and runs regardless of your advertising choice. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the game working, it carries nothing that identifies you, and it is the only way a crash on a device we have never held can be fixed. If you would rather not send crash data at all, the honest answer is that uninstalling is the only way to stop it.

What stays on your device

The game saves a few things locally so it can remember where you were and how you like to play. None of it is transmitted — the game contains no code that uploads these files — and all of it is removed when you uninstall.

  • Progress — chapter, checkpoint, time played and enemies cleared, so Continue returns you where you stopped.
  • Settings — music, effects, vibration, quality, frame rate and look sensitivity, so the game plays the way you set it.
  • Diagnostic notes — development records of when a revive was offered and what ads returned, used to tune the game's difficulty and pacing.

If you ask the game to rate itself on Google Play, that prompt is presented by the Play Store rather than by us. We are told only that the game asked; we never see whether you left a review or what it said.

Your choices

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the game shows Google's consent form the first time you play. Your answer decides whether ads are personalised and whether analytics are collected. You can change it at any time from the game's settings, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Declining does not remove advertising — the game is funded by it. It means the ads you see are chosen without reference to your device, and that analytics stop.

Wherever you are, you can limit ad tracking on the device itself. On Android this sits under Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset or delete your advertising ID. Deleting it stops personalised advertising everywhere, not only here.

Children

Cold Blood is an action game with realistic combat and is rated for adults. It is not directed to children, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the game is not configured as child-directed for advertising purposes.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to adilpwr11@gmail.com and we will act on it.

Your rights

Because the game holds no account and stores nothing on our side that identifies you, there is usually nothing for us to look up, correct or delete. Uninstalling removes everything the game saved locally.

Where the law gives you rights over data held about you — including under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act — those rights apply to the advertising and analytics data described above. Because Google is the controller of the advertising data, requests about it are best directed to Google, which offers its own controls. We will help with anything within our reach if you write to us.

For personalised advertising and analytics in the UK and EEA, our legal basis is your consent. Where ads are shown without consent they are non-personalised and rely on our legitimate interest in funding a free game. Crash reporting relies on our legitimate interest in keeping the game working.

How long it is kept

We keep no copy of any of this ourselves. The data described above is held inside Google's services under their retention policies: analytics events are retained for a limited reporting window, and crash reports are kept long enough to diagnose and confirm a fix. Anything stored on your device lasts until you delete the game.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects your data — a new ad format, a new service, an in-app purchase — this policy will be updated and the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted in the game's release notes on Google Play.

Contact

Questions, corrections and complaints all go to the same place: adilpwr11@gmail.com.

If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
